On May 26, the talent training project for the Rehabilitation Assistive Device industry, sponsored by the Open University of China and the China Rehabilitation Assistive Device Association, and undertaken by the Ministry of Social Education and the Rehabilitation Assistive Device Training Institute of the Open University of China, was launched in Beijing. From May 26th to 28th, the "Vocational Skills Training for Rehabilitation Assistive Technology Consultants" was held simultaneously. Assistive devices are one of the most basic and effective means to help disabled people improve their quality of life and enhance their ability to participate in social life.
According to the relevant person in charge of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, China has provided assistive device services to 12.525 million disabled people through the implementation of precise rehabilitation service actions. In 2022, the basic assistive device adaptation rate for disabled people will exceed 80%. By 2025, the adaptation rate of basic assistive devices for the disabled is expected to reach more than 85%.
