In early November, at the official invitation of Chairman Tanaka of Japan’s SG Medical Group, Shenzhen Zuowei Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Zuowei Technology”) dispatched a delegation to Japan for a multi-day inspection and exchange activity. This visit not only deepened mutual understanding between the two parties but also reached important strategic consensus in key areas such as joint product R&D and market expansion. The two parties signed a Strategic Cooperation Memorandum for the Japanese market, laying the foundation for in-depth cooperation between enterprises of the two countries in the fields of artificial intelligence technology and elderly care services.
Japan’s SG Medical Group is a powerful healthcare and elderly care group with significant influence in Japan’s Tohoku region. It has accumulated profound industry resources and mature operational experience in the elderly care and medical fields, owning more than 200 facilities including elderly care homes, rehabilitation hospitals, day care centers, physical examination centers, and nursing colleges. These facilities provide comprehensive medical care, nursing services, and preventive education services for local communities in the four prefectures of the Tohoku region.
During the visit, the Zuowei Technology delegation first visited the headquarters of SG Medical Group and held productive talks with Chairman Tanaka and the group’s senior management team. At the meeting, the two parties conducted extensive exchanges on topics such as their respective corporate development plans, the current status and needs of Japan’s elderly care industry, and various elderly care product concepts. Wang Lei from Zuowei Technology’s Overseas Marketing Department detailed the company’s rich practical experience and technological R&D achievements in the smart care field, with a focus on showcasing the company’s independently developed innovative product—the portable bathing machine. This product aroused strong interest from SG Medical Group; participants experienced the portable bathing machine in person and highly praised its ingenious design and convenient application.

Subsequently, the two parties conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation directions including the joint R&D of smart care products and the development of intelligent equipment tailored to the actual usage scenarios of Japanese elderly care homes, reaching multiple consensuses and signing the Strategic Cooperation Memorandum for the Japanese market. Both parties believe that complementary advantages are crucial to driving future development. This strategic collaboration will focus on developing technologically advanced smart care robot products and services that better meet market needs, jointly addressing the challenges posed by the global aging society. In terms of joint R&D, the two parties will integrate technical teams and R&D resources to tackle key pain points in smart care and intelligent elderly care, launching more market-competitive products. In terms of product layout, relying on SG Medical Group’s local channel advantages and Zuowei Technology’s innovative product matrix, they will gradually realize the landing and promotion of relevant products in the Japanese market. Meanwhile, they will explore introducing Japan’s advanced service concepts and operational models into the Chinese market, forming a mutually empowering cooperation model.
To gain an intuitive understanding of Japan’s refined and standardized healthcare and elderly care service system as well as actual operational scenarios, the Zuowei Technology delegation visited various types of elderly care facilities operated by SG Medical Group under its careful arrangement. The delegation successively visited key venues including elderly care homes, day care centers, hospitals, and physical examination centers under SG Medical Group. Through on-site observations and exchanges with facility managers and frontline nursing staff, Zuowei Technology gained in-depth insights into Japan’s advanced concepts, mature models, and rigorous standards in elderly care facility management, care for disabled and dementia patients, rehabilitation training, health management, and the integration of medical and elderly care services. These frontline insights provide valuable references for the company’s future precise product R&D, localized adaptation, and service model optimization.
This visit to Japan and the achievement of strategic cooperation mark an important step for Zuowei Technology in expanding into the global market. In the future, Zuowei Technology and Japan’s SG Medical Group will take joint R&D as a breakthrough and product layout as a link, integrating technical, resource, and channel advantages to jointly develop smart care products and services that better meet market needs. They will work together to address global aging challenges and set a model for Sino-Japanese cooperation in healthcare and elderly care technology.
